Hello everyone! First of all, Runner-- how was Sundance? Please post on the blog about that with some pics. I will email you the training. :0)
I was speaking with a teacher that has done a 1/2 marathon and her husband has done a few marathons. She said that her husband's best times (and I guess he is pretty serious about the marathon) were when he used the "Jeff Galloway" strategy. She said she is going to do it this time for the 1/2 b/c the last one was very painful at the end, for her personally (of course it won't be for us). You run/jog for 8-9 minutes then walk for 1 minute. I guess you do this even at the beginning and it is suppose to really help reserve your energy and actually increase your pace. What do you guys think? Any opinions?

Moe and I did interval training for our half marathon in October. Can't say that we had a lot of energy at the end though!! lol.
I think the run/walk technique is a good one. I suggest that if you are going to do it, you really need to stick to it, rather than saying "oh, i can run a few extra minutes this time" if you do that your body will get confused. so, as Jody always says, when deciding the method, either "shit or get off the pot" :)
